This was a really fun project! This was a custom bag for a friend. She LOVES her Silver jeans, but this pair could not be worn anymore, unless she was planning on having entire limbs show. She asked if I could make a cowgirl style bag out of her old jeans, so this is what I came up with.
I lined her bag with shirt fabric from a thrift store. The inside pocket is a pocket from another pair of jeans. It is actually two pockets in one because I cut the whole pocket still attached to the jeans out, not just the pocket itself! The handle is a belt, also thrifted. Western themed accessories: feathers, turquoise beads and an iron on transfer of a horse made this bag perfect for my friend. The coordinating fabric poofing out of the pocket is actually a leftover piece of stretchy fabric from the t-shirt. I was going to throw it away, then I stretched it around my head, like a headband! I was like, "She will love this!" So, I tucked the headband into the pocket for those windy days when maybe she's forgotten a hair band! She loved it!
Thank you so much to my friend for letting me make you this fun bag!
