When I was a kid my mom and my aunt would take me shopping and try and get me to wear turtlenecks and vests. Bleh. Why wear a turtleneck or a vest when someone amazing invented scarves and jackets? Fo reelz....
Not a fan of turtlenecks? Nor am I, but I loved the leopard print of this sweater too much to not fix it somehow.

Money Spent:$5 (I had everything but the ribbon)
I cut the neck off! I sewed satin ribbon around the collar. I tied a bow and sewed it down, so it doesn't come undone.
As you can see here, the ends of the ribbon start and end under the bow. If you're REALLY good, I bet you could have done the whole thing with one length of ribbon instead of breaking up into two, like I did. The bow is a separate piece. It's just a bow I tied free hand and sewed on.
Oh my goodness, how adorable do I look? I used the neck I cut off as a headband! Talk about coordinating!
The pouf shoulders, new neckline and bow enhance the "girly" feel of this sweater.
This came out SEW great! SEW much better than the turtleneck!
Thanks for stopping by and sew on!
