I love rustic style. I love using nature in a new, fun way. Here, a branch from my yard was cut into 3" pieces and screwed to the cabinets. FREE, rustic style. I didn't poly them or anything, but the branches weren't flaking or really dirty at all.
Those are vinyl sticky tiles on the desk there. I found those at a recycle store for $2. There was 1 box of, maybe, 24 tiles or something. The antler lamp is a Christmas Tree Shop find! I love that store too much. I can't go there often, if you know what I mean. A black lamp shade from Wal-Mart adds more of a modern feel to the lamp. The shade that came with the lamp was fine, a little too rustic and too close to the same shade of tan as everything else. I like the black shade better. That's all that matters ;)
Here, a branch makes a nice spot to hang hats and coats. This was another gift for my boyfriend a few years ago. I even carved our names in it, all high school romantic style with a pocket knife. T+K =<3
That's parsley growing on the shelf. We grow parsley indoors all year long. We brought it inside a few years ago. We separate it when it outgrows the pot. Which is often :)
Last note, the apple painting was $1 at a recycle store. Steal.
Until next time,
