Well, here we are in my bathroom. Thank goodness I cleaned it, right?
This room cost next to nothing to spiff up!
Money Spent: Less than $100
Check it out! A pallet mirror frame, smashed tiles, antiques....
We had a few ceramic tiles laying around. Not enough to do a floor or any big project. Just enough to smash up smaller and cover the countertop. We glued them down with construction adhesive and then grouted. Lastly, we coated the grout with grout sealant.
I found this washboard at an antique shop just around the corner from my house. Convenient..... Sometimes too convenient. I'm a big fan of antiques, but I really like it when they can serve another purpose. I really wanted this washboard to do double duty. So, I had my BF screw a bread tin to the front of it to hold.... well, it's a washboard holding something. Who cares what it's actually holding? It's awesome!
Remember these clocks? Maybe from middle or high school. Eeek! Memories.... Anyway, we had one laying around our house. It had a water stain on the bottom. I thought it looked cool and wanted to make it look more antique by tea staining and splatter painting it with brown paint. I think it looks old. What do you think?
Three candle jars, cleaned out and filled with common bathroom supplies, sit in a wooden box.
The mason jar sits in a clamp screwed to the pallet mirror frame. See more with glass jars and recyclables here and here!
This totally fits my style. Repurposing common items. Here, I used a vintage spice shaker to freshen the room! Combine a few drops of your favorite essential oil, mine is lavender, and some baking soda and add to your shaker! Change once a month. See more uses for baking soda here!
Thank you for hanging out in my bathroom! TTYL!
